Lost' actor Malcolm David Kelley was home alone Friday morning when an individual attempted to break into his family's residence, his spokesman said.
The 17-year-old actor was at his Bellflower, Calif. home when someone knocked on his front door before breaking into the family's pool house through a window. His rep, Dominic Friesen, told TMZ that Kelley became alarmed and called 911.
The suspect moved on from the pool house and tried again to break into the main house, but fled the scene when he or she heard police sirens. Shots were reportedly fired and the suspect was captured and remains in custody.
The Los Angeles County Sherriff's Dept. has not confirmed that Kelley was the victim of the attempted burglary.
"Malcolm and his family are currently working with law enforcement as they investigate the frightening chain of events that occurred at their residence earlier today," Friesen said in a statement. "Although understandably shaken, Malcolm is safe and uninjured, and truly appreciates the overwhelming support received by fans."
