Lance Armstrong is to become a father for the fifth time, he announced today.

And the champion cyclist even set up a Twitter page for his unborn child, his second with girlfriend Anna Hansen.

Lance, 38, made the announcement about the pregnancy on his page of the social networking site today.

He wrote: 'Getting ?s today about someone I'm following, a certain @cincoarmstrong. What to say? Yet another blessing in our lives. I cannot wait!.'

And he kept his followers guessing as to the sex of the baby, its page, which is is called Cincoarmstrong, has the name Jack Olivia Armstrong on its profile details.

And its first ever post, written by Lance, said: 'I got 2 arms, 2 legs, a nickname and (I'm) 2 inches long. See y'all in October.'

The next one said: 'I'm now the size of a lemon, 3.5 inches long, and weigh 1.5 ounces. And oh yeah, I'm on Twitter.'

Today, in reference to the profile picture, he added: 'Working on my avatar. It's slightly complicated. For me at least.'

Lance, who battled testicular cancer for two years from 1996 to 1998, and 28-year-old Anna, who he met in June 2008, through his charity work, already have a son together, 10-month-old Max.

Both Max and his unborn brother or sister were conceived naturally, even though it was believed that Armstrong could no longer father children, having undergone chemotherapy.

Lance also has twins Isabella and Grace, 8, and son Luke, 11, with his ex-wife, Kristen.

He famously split from singer Sheryl Crow, who he was engaged to, in February 2006 because he said he didn't want any more children
