I'll go straight to the point- here I found a list of the top most weird, unjustified and arguably silly purchases.
Tom Cruise's new Mansion: After welcoming baby Suri into the beautiful, albeit unusual world of Tom and Katie, the movie star legend decided that his rented LA pad wasn�t fit for Hollywood royalty. Earlier this spring, TomKat purchased a seven-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills for a whopping $30.5 million.
David and Victoria Beckham's New Beverly Hills Mansion: For neighbours, they have the newly wed Tom and Katie. The soccer star acquisitioned a six-bedroom Italian estate in Beverly Hills. The mansion has 6 fireplaces, 9 bathrooms and a swimming pool.
Beyonce's Expensive Leggings: When she performed a rousing rendition of "Get Me Bodied" at the 2007 BET Awards, the singer arrived in a gold space outfit, with letters spelling Beyonce on the background. As you can see in the photos, she then stripped off her space gear, revealing her $100,000 gold Balenciaga leggings and a matching bra top ! One hundred thousand dollars, wow, some people seriously lack inspiration as to what to do with their money.
But spend them on a pair of leggings..
Elizabeth Hurley�s cancelled wedding reception: The British Supermodel and Actress, Elizabeth Hurley expected to be welcomed into her new Hindu Family after marrying her Indian boyfriend, Arun Nayar. However, once everyone's champagne has cleared up their heads, the new in-laws decided to disown their son and his new bride for ostentatious displays of tacky commercialism, and thus cancelled their final wedding reception, which cost nearly $60,000. No More Beauty Saloons for Foxy
Foxy Brown, the well known, or not so well known rapper, depending on your type of music was arrested yesterday in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She was allegedly creating a disturbance at a beauty shop, just months before she was sentenced to probation and anger management class for previously assaulting, not long ago two nail technicians in New York!
Brown was charged with battery and obstruction of justice and spent the night in a temporary jail cell.

Gary Jumps Off London Eye
Wow, what a stunt.. Or not really? Garry Connery jumped from the top of the London Eye today, a height of about 440ft.
The movie stunt, 37 opened his parachute just moments after stepping off the giant wheel. He managed to land safely 16 seconds later! Hooray for him!
He sneaked on to the Eye and climbed up the maintenance stairs as it was being cleaned.
The dad of two, from Maidenhead, Berks, has already jumped from the Eiffel Tower.
Gary said: �I was petrified, but the thrill makes it worth it.�
I wouldn't jump if someone paid me! You'd have to either be an expert like him or a bit insane.. and I'm neither of those.. I think.

Michael Douglas Escapes from a Mysterious Accident
Michael Douglas almost lost his balance while in a cherry picker basket lifted up 25 feet in the air to christem a new art museum in Bermuda. You never know what the 2008 horoscope might predict for him!
"I had a good laugh and stumbled. I had a little moment," he told The Royal Gazette newspaper.
"It will be a wonderful asset for the island," said Douglas, who owns a home in the British Atlantic territory with his actress wife
