Kate Moss 'buys own engagement ring'

Kate Moss reportedly paid for the ring that boyfriend Jamie Hince proposed with.

The supermodel, who has apparently amassed a �45m fortune during her career, allegedly wanted a ring out of The Kills guitarist's price range, meaning that he had to use money she had given him to build a recording studio.

"Jamie has virt�ually no savings but did make a contribution for the ring," a source told the Daily Star. "They joke about how dependent he is on her. Kate even calls herself his 'Sugar Mummy'. Kate wanted a ring fit for a princess but Jamie knew he couldn't afford to get her dream ring.

"He was desperate to surprise her so he used money she'd given him to build his recording studio. That way she paid for the biggest chunk of it, but him popping the question still came out of the blue. He even designed it based on her heroine Zelda Fitzgerald's ring.

"Jamie knows there really is no matching Kate's wealth. She knew the type of ring she wanted. Getting engaged to Jamie is a special time for her and she wanted the ring to be just as special and so out came the Moss cheque book. Jamie loves her and that's what matters to Kate."

It was recently reported that Moss is planning a "mini-Glastonbury" for her wedding reception in July.

Apparently, at least Kate Moss can. While at a friend's wedding, Kate became smitten with the cuff bracelet on socialite Ann Dexter-Jones' wrist. Her BFF Sir Philip Green then decided to purchase it for her. Right then and right there. And get this, just so that Ann's wrist wasn't left bare, Kate swapped the Chanel bracelet that she was wearing---in an even exchange. Because for now that's about all that we can do. BFF's who buy you pricey baubles? Weddings with celebrities in attendance? A boatload of unplanned free press? Must be nice.... Oh, and in case you didn't know, Ann Dexter Jones is the mom to Samantha Ronson (Lindsay Lohan's ex), Charlotte Ronson (fashion designer extraordinaire), and Mark Ronson. She has a jewelry line that will be debuting at Art Basel in Miami Beach. Kate Moss Doesn't Get Rid of Old Clothes

Supermodel Kate Moss admits she can’t make herself to throw anything out of her wardrobe.

“Do I ever throw out clothes?" she said. "Definitely not! I’ve got classics.

“Keith Richards gave me a pair of black jeans he bought in Brazil in 1969 and I still wear them – they fit me perfectly."

“For my 21st birthday, Johnny Depp bought me a copy of the dress Julie Christie wore in ‘Shampoo’. He had it made and every sequin is hand-sewn. I still wear it.”

Kate – who dated Johnny in the 90s - is holding on to many of her clothes and accessories to pass on to seven-year-old daughter Lila Grace, and says her daughter already has an eye fro shoes.

“Accessories stand the test of time and you can hand them down to your children.," she told Glamour Magazine.

“Lila can walk around in heels already but I’ve told her they’re only for special occasions. I don’t want her in heels yet – she’s only seven.”
