Last night was the Los Angeles premiere of Easy A starring Emma Stone, a movie we are ZOMGsoexcitedfor because it looks like a quirky, irreverent, and smart twist on the usual teen rom-com. Plus, Emma Stone is basically our spirit animal. Keep clicking to see who else showed up for the premiere, including a country music star who seemed to be in the Christmas spirit ...

MTV VMA music awards best moments.
Taylor Swifts forgiving tune, Chers moment with Lady Gaga, Kanyes toast to jerks everywhere, Eminem and Rihannas fiery opening, Lindsay Lohans cameo, and morewatch highlights and view photos of the 2010 VMAs.
Taylor Swift Forgives Kanye West
In an emotional performance, Taylor Swift forgave Kanye West for hijacking her speech at last year's show. A closer listen to her song, however, reveals that her lyrics do have some bite: Thirty-two and still growing up now.
Kanye Toasts Himself
In the grand finale of the show, an apologetic Kanye West toasted himself. While this seems like a logical move for the egomaniac, Wests catchy new song Runaway actually contains some not-so-flattering (and slightly NSFW) lyrics pertaining to himself. Yes Kanye, we have been putting up with your [expletive] for way too long. It was a sincere apology to Swiftwhich inspired the audience to give West a standing ovation while chanting his name.
Justin Bieber Gets Drummer Fever
Kim Kardashian kicked off Bieber fever by introducing her falsely rumored boyfriend and Best New Artist winner Justin Bieber. The tween sensations performance, seemingly designed under the assumption that if there are 9-year-olds on stage maybe hed look older, had some strange vocals. Whether it was just nerves or lip synching is unclear, but Bieber tore it up with the sickest drum solo his audience had ever seen. An audience of prepubescent girls, that is.
The Return of the Lohan
As the first woman to host the VMAs in 16 years, Chelsea Handler needed all the inspirational spanks she could get before the show. But in a surprise twist to this opening bit, and in her first major role since being released from rehab, Lindsay Lohan showed that not only can she dole out a proper smack to Handlers rear, but she can also poke fun at her own struggle with alcohol and the law. Heres wishing Lohan the best of luck in turning her life around. Lets hope she wasnt invited to any VMA afterparties.
Lady Gaga and Legend Cher a Moment
Cher, the oldest chick with the biggest hair and a dangerously skimpy outfit at the show, presented the biggest award to the biggest winner of the night Lady Gaga. Accepting the Video of the Year award for Bad Romance, Gaga gave her little monsters a treat by announcing the title of her new record and singing the chorus to the albums title song.
Eminem Sets Stage on Fire
After spending the better part of four years away from the stage while fighting an addiction to prescription drugs, Eminem opened the show by rapping Love the Way You Lie with surprise guest Rihanna. The real Slim Shady may be back, but he was unable to stand up to accept his awards for Not Afraid, because of a flight to New York for a concert.
Jersey Shore Hot Tub Knocks Up Host
Throughout the program Handler made some family-friendly jokes, like the one about Mrs. Bieber giving birth to her 401(k) plan. But it was when she was making crass jokes in a hot tub with the Jersey Shore cast, however, that she seemed to fit in fine. This may explain why by the end of the bit she was pregnant.

Kanye West paints his way back onto MTV
Kanye West (left) interrupts the acceptance speech from Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMA in New York, September 13, 2009.
Kanye West is painting a new picture on MTV today, debuting a video he hopes will offer fans a better image of himself than the one he made at the networks award show last year when he interrupted Taylor Swifts acceptance speech.
Its not a video...its a painting, the rapper said of his new video, called Power, airing tonight.
At MTVs Video Music Awards in September 2009, West unexpectedly took to the stage of the live televised broadcast when country singer Swift won best female pop video. West grabbed the microphone from Swifts hands and declared that R&B singer Beyonce should have won instead.
MTV never officially banned Kanye West from their studios after last falls VMA Awards, and the network continued to play his old videos. But since then, he has not debuted any new work on MTV, and there has been much speculation on music websites about whether the network would take him back.
MTVs head of music and talent, Amy Doyle, told Reuters theres no beef with the rapper and that they have moved on.
Weve always been supporters of his art and his music, and were excited to partner with him, whether its his new painting or new album, said Doyle.
Doyle said the new 90-second video does resemble more of a living painting and not a traditional video.
Its up for interpretation, like any piece of artwork. It is provocative and will keep people talking, Doyle said.
And igniting fan buzz is one thing West does best.
After last years dust-up at the VMAs, fans and fellow musicians were outraged. Singer Kelly Clarkson called West a sad human being, while American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert wrote on his Twitter page, Kanye needs to chill. He freaks out every year. It aint that deep, man.
West later appeared on a TV talk show to apologise, saying he would took some time off to analyse how Im going to make it through the rest of this life, how Im going to improve.
Also today, MTV is premiering the new music video for Eminem and Rihannas single Love The Way You Lie, which airs two hours before Kanyes.
The two debuts follow a series of similar premiere videos on MTV earlier this year, from Justin Biebers Never Let Go and Mike Posners Cooler Than Me to Muses Resistance and Maroon 5s Misery.
I think this means that artists still want MTV to be the first place to introduce their music video, and its the loudest way to get the video out to fans, said Doyle.
Katy Perrys Teenage Dream is also on the debut line-up and set to air on Tuesday, August 10.

Piracy forces Taylor Swift to rush out new single
Country-pop starlet Taylor Swifts record label was forced to release the first single from her upcoming album 12 days ahead of schedule yesterday, hours after a bootleg version appeared online.
Big Machine Records said in a statement that the MP3 file of Mine was low-quality, and it wanted fans to hear the single in its proper form via iTunes and country radio. It was not immediately known who was responsible for the leak.
Swifts third album, Speak Now, remains on course for a worldwide release on October 25. It marks the follow-up to her album of the year Grammy winner Fearless, which has sold 5.95 million copies in the United States and currently sits at No. 45 on the pop album chart in its 90th week

Toby Hemingway: Taylor Swift gets new guy to go with new album
Pop country darling Taylor Swift has reportedly fallen for the star of her latest music video. Swift met actor Toby Hemingway on the set of "A Rose to the Fallen," and there's already a photo of the couple smooching making the rounds -- even though it was taken during the video shoot.
We're very protective of Taylor, so who is this Toby character anyways?
Well, according to the ever-reliable Wikipedia, the 27-year-old Brit has lived stateside since he was 13 and currently calls Los Angeles home. He's been making the rounds on U.S. TV for the last few years, appearing on episodes of "Bones," "CSI: Miami" and "Summerland," but he's probably remembered best from his role in 2006's man-witch thriller "The Covenant."
Too distracted by pre-"Friday Night Lights" Taylor Kitsch's abs to recall? You're not alone. But Hemingway was there too.
He seems to have caught the other Taylor's eye, though, and that's not the only big news on the Swift front this week. In a video on her official website, she announced the October 25 release of "Speak Now," her third studio album.
In the video she explained the "conceptual" nature of the recording, saying that each track would be a confession to a different person that's come into her life.
Taylor Swift's new album 'Speak Now' gets a release date
This is just a hunch, but based on past performance, we're thinking that Taylor Swift's next album is going to do pretty well.
The country-pop phenomenon announced on July 20 that her third full-length record will be titled "Speak Now" and should hit stores on October 25, 2010. After two hit albums, Taylor could have the best songwriters in the world scrambling to work with her, but she's taking this one into her own hands.
Yes, all 14 songs on the album are written by Swift and only Swift. Her first single, "Mine," will drop on August 16th at 12:01 a.m. "Mine," according to Taylor in a live video webchat, is a song that is about her "tendency to run from love." Of course, rumor has it that love found her on the "Mine" video shoot.
Swift's love life hasn't exactly been low-profile: she's gone on paparazzi-snapped dates with the likes of "Twilight's" Taylor Lautner and "Glee's" Cory Monteith. Her last record, "Fearless," featured a few songs targeted at ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas... so we're expecting at least one thinly-veiled reference to the wolfpack this time around.
