Kelsey Grammer's wife Camille Donatacci files for divorce
Kelsey Grammer's third wife -- former Playboy model Camille Donatacci, whom he married in 1997 -- has filed for divorce from the actor.
"Hello everyone thank you for ur support and Yes it's TRUE Camille and I are Divorcing I ask U 2 respect our privacy in these difficu...," Kelsey tweeted on Thursday (July 1).
He followed with this tweet: "Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it."
He also wrote, "I once again ask that all tweets about Camille be kind and mindful of the fact that she is the mother of my children."
The couple's rep also released this statement to "Access Hollywood": "Kelsey and Camille value privacy. They understand that private lives sometimes get played out in public but ask on this occasion that their privacy -- and the privacy of their children -- be respected."
Kelsey's first marriage to dance instructor Doreen Alderman lasted eight years. They have a daughter togehter. His marriage to his second wife, a stripper named Leigh-Anne Csuhany, lasted just a year year. He had a daughter out of wedlock during that marriage.
According to TMZ, Camille -- who cites "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce petition -- is asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their two children, daughter Mason Olivia, 8 and son Jude Gordan, 5. Both children were born via surrogate. She also wants spousal and child support.
Kelsey had a heart attack in March 2008 and told "Access Hollywood" that Camile had been "amazing..., a rock" during his recovery.
Let's just hope this doesn't turn into another one of those bitter back-and-forth divorces like Tiger Woods, Charlie Sheen and Larry King.
This is perfect timing for Camille's new career venture. She's starring on the new reality TV show "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
Maybe they can change the name to "Real Divorcees of Beverly Hills." That would be a better show anyway.
