Justin Bieber in Tel Aviv
Like baby, baby, baby, no.
Justin Biebers concert in Israel drew far fewer fans than expected, but the pop star still made US$1 million (RM3 million) for his 90-minute show, sources said.
Biebers April 14 concert at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv drew somewhere between 17,000 (according police) and 24,000 fans (according to the promoters) well below forecasts in the 35,000 range. The Jerusalem Posts review split the difference, putting the number at 21,000. By contrast, Madonnas 2009 show at the same venue pulled in 56,000 people.
They overpaid and did not market it right, says Israeli promoter Shuki Weiss, who declined to bid on Bieber believing it would be a difficult sell. I think its important for every artist to come to Israel, but you need to know your crowd.
Indeed, posters advertising the show were scant in the city, with the exception of areas surrounding Biebers hotel, and with ticket sales initially sluggish, a promotion offering free entry to parents was introduced, causing its share of headaches at the parks gates.
For his part the shows promoter, Gadi Oron, said (Sales) definitely met our expectations. He declined to comment on Biebers reported payday: It is our policy not to talk about financial arrangements we reach with talent we promote.

Justin Bieber Fans Skip Prom, Drive For Days To Watch Him On 'Today'-'He's amazing, he's so worth it,' says fan who drove 17 hours to see Friday's performance.
Becca Jude and Sinead Byrne, both 18, were supposed to be at their high school prom in New Jersey on Thursday. Instead, they were in New York City, standing in line to watch Justin Bieber perform live on the "Today" show early Friday morning.
"All our friends think we're crazy," said Becca, who was planning to join her friends on a trip to the Jersey Shore before she found out about the concert. "We have no regrets. He's worth it."
She was just one of many dedicated fans who skipped events, drove for hours and camped out overnight just to get a glance at Bieber onstage.
Megan Hazelwood, 17, convinced her parents to drive 17 hours from their home in Kansas City, Kansas, setting off three days ago just to make it to the show on time.
"He's amazing, he's so worth it," said Megan, who's organizing a buyout of Justin Bieber's album in Kansas City. Decked out in a black Justin Bieber T-shirt, she explained that she convinced her dad to tag along on the ride by telling him it would a good "bonding experience."
"They just love me," she said of her parents. "They just love me a lot."
For many parents, like Julie Williamson from New Canaan, Connecticut, accompanying their kids to the concert was an opportunity to experience the excitement themselves.
"I'm reliving my youth," Williamson said, admitting that she has officially caught Bieber Fever too.
Joe Pezzino said he drove his daughter seven hours from Buffalo, New York, in order to share something with her. "It's one of those things you do with your kids," he said, adding that he likes Bieber's music because it's clean.
While many fans had been planning to attend this concert since it was first announced, 12-year-old Jissed Rosario didn't even know she'd be coming. "I didn't know I was coming here today; it was my birthday surprise," said Jissed, whose uncle drove her to the concert because he knew she was a huge fan.
"My teacher complained about how much I like Justin Bieber at the report card conference," said Jissed, who also writes poems about Bieber and talks about him nonstop. "I'm basically the number one fan in the whole school."

Justin Beiber: German Comment -Thought speaker said Jew Man
Trying to go from brainless pop star to a politically sensitive icon, the 16 year old teen sensation said that he was trying to avoid what he thought was an offensive term when he danced around the question posed to him by the Kiwi anchor.
When asked Beiber is German for Basketball. True or False, by the anchor, Jew-man is apparently what was heard by Justin Beiber. German, repeated the announcer, but the youngster was baffled.
I thought at first it was the Kiwi accent throwing him off, but it sounds like the young singer actually says German? to the announcer. Then after being shown the word on the announcers cue card, says
I dont know what that means; we dont say that in America. I like basketball if thats what youre asking me.
The young singer tweeted in his defense:
Because I thought this interviewer in NZ said Jewman instead of German people think I dont know what German is?
Im not sure about this one. I cant decide if its more unlikely that someone would accidentally hear Jew-man during a normal conversation, or that a young pop star would be unaware of a European country. Im going to have to go with the latter, but thats just my opinion.
What do you think of the Justin Beiber German confusion? Was he being politically correct or pathetically confused? Let me know in the comment section!
However you look at it, the video is hilarious. See that and some pictures of the young star below!

Justin Bieber Is Thoughtful and romantic.
Exclusive: Justin Bieber is 16-years-old, one of the biggest stars on the planet, and strangely enough, the Canadian crooner comes off as remarkably grounded and collected. So, on this Mother's Day, had the opportunity to briefly chat with the teen star about his mom (pictured), their relationship and what it's like to have her on the road with him as he zigzags around the world -- dodging mobs of feverish girls everywhere he goes. That, and he also drops a tidbit about his romantic ways that's sure to only feed the frenzy.
What did you get your mom for Mother's Day?
I plan on making a special day for my mom - I already sent flowers. Maybe I'll send her to a spa for the day to pamper herself.
What's it like having your mother on the road with you?
It's great - she's a piece of home I get to take with me.
What's the best advice your mother ever gave you?
Stay humble.
There are millions of girls always trying to get your attention. Are you the romantic type, buying flowers and such?
I have my romantic moments - for sure.

Justin Bieber to Fans: Stop threatening Kim Kardashian's life
Teen idol Justin Bieber is asking his fans to stop sending Kim Kardashian death threats after the two posed together at the White House Correspondents dinner.
After Bieber jokingly called Kardashian his girlfriend on his Twitter page, the pop stars two million Twitter fans began to threaten the sexy reality star.
I'm getting death threats from your fans!" Kardashian, 29, wrote to the singer Tuesday night. "This is unBeliebable!!!"
The teen star was forced to calm the hoards of angry Bieber Babies (like Beanie Babies, only meaner), telling them, ladies calm down and clarifying that Kardashian was only a friend.
"a very sexy friend but a friend," he Tweeted. "no need 4 threats. Let's all be friends and hang out often."
It wasnt the first time the Bieber babies became aggressive a group of about 500 trampled his own mother in New Zealand as they rushed to reach the young singer.
And just the day before, he was forced to cancel his show after they injured each other during Bieber mania!
