The streets are saying that he borrowed over $2000,000 worth of diamonds to floss in for the top-shelf occasion. It's been more than twenty-five years since Madonna made her rock-pop look ultra-popular with the world. small hats, piled on plastic rubber bracelets, and a plethora of neon jewelry---and now she's ready to make a 2010 fashion comeback along with her offspring Lourdes in tow, who's giving the Material Girl fashion line her own teen-aged seal of approval. Lourdes, or "Lola" as she is most affectionately called doesn't seem to be just lending her less- seasoned demographic identity to the brand. She's a girl who's going for the Material Girl vision in a hands-on kind of way. The young fashion designer wants people to know that she regularly meets with design teams to work on both their collection and blog . The new line will consist of apparel, footwear, handbags, and yes---of course, FASHION JEWELRY.

They're pulling out all the stops to promote the line, including hiring one of Gossip Girl's own Taylor Momsen pictured below in one of the shots taken for the Material Girl Ad campaign. BTW, that's Madonna crouched down showing the photographers how things should be done.

I'm talking about the 2010 Video Music Awards of course. Most of the usual MTV suspects were in the house minus Beyonce and Jay-Z (he had a show in NY that eve). Kanye sure loves himself some red suits and bold gold jewelry doesn't he? Remember when he did Power at the BET Awards? But guess what? I love it. It's not so much what he wears, but it's what he does that makes him such a standout dude (yes I said dude. I'm bringing it back). He's got me celebrating jerks because of  the performance of his new song RUNAWAY, and that my Cityrocka blog  readers, makes him an absolute gem, so thumbs up Yeezy.
