Kim Kardashian defends Turkish Cosmo cover

Kim Kardashian has defended her controversial covershoot for Turkish Cosmopolitan.

The April edition of the magazine caused uproar as the reality star's appearance clashes with Genocide Remembrance Day, an occasion which marks the 1915 killing of thousands of Armenian citizens by Turkish rebels. Kardashian is of Armenian descent through her late father Robert.

"I just found out today that I am on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine in Turkey this month," she wrote on her blog on Monday. "Cosmopolitan... has a number of international editions all around the world that run in various territories, and when I did this shoot for the international covers I had no idea that Turkey was planning to run my story on their cover this month, considering Genocide Remembrance Day is this month."

However, she went on to insist that the unfortunate situation in no way compromises the pride she has in her background.

"My Armenian heritage means a lot to me and I've been brought up to be incredibly proud of my family's background and culture so as an Armenian-American woman it is a huge honour for me to be on the first ever Armenian Cosmopolitan cover," she wrote.

"I have an amazing relationship with Cosmopolitan magazine. World-over, Cosmo is known as a fun and inspiring magazine for women of all races, shapes, sizes, regardless of their political beliefs and I really hope that if I can bring awareness to the issue, then this is an accomplishment."

Kardashian previously admitted confusion as to why the media is so obsessed with her body.

Her mother Kris Jenner recently spoke out in support of her daughters, insisting that they work hard in their chosen fields.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have been going strong since the end of last year, but according to younger sis Khloe Kardashian, the New Jersey Nets player "doesn't know what he's getting into."

According to PEOPLE, the reality star dished that Humphries has yet to really see the family's chaos in person.

"He hasn't been around all of us yet," the 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star revealed. "He hasn't been to my mom's house with the chaos, so the initiation process will happen this summer -- if he lasts. If he can get out of that alive, then he's good to stay."

Though the long-distance couple have been separated due to Humphries' busy basketball schedule, Khloe hopes that he'll stick with Kim for some fun with the whole Kardashian clan this summer.

"Hopefully, we'll all get to go on fun trips and hang out," she said. "That's something that we all look forward to. Kris was out here [for] All-Star weekend, and we hung out."

Khloe's husband, LA Laker Lamar Odom, likes to give his sister-in-law a hard time about her boyfriend's home team.

"Lamar always teases Kim," Khloe said. "Kim will be like, 'Oh, my god, [the Nets] won their game.' And Lamar will go, 'Kim, remember this day. They're not going to win [the NBA Championship].' She thinks it's funny."

Khloe and Odom are gearing up for their own reality show, 'Khloe and Lamar,' which premieres April 10 on E! at 10PM.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian and her New Orleans Saints running back boyfriend, Reggie Bush have called it quits. The couple recently went on a charity trip to Africa and talked about heading towards marriage, but due to spending time apart during the NFL season their relationship suffered.

"They never get to see each other, ever," a source says. "It's been a long time coming. They still love each other and are part of their lives, but Reggie spends six months out of the year in New Orleans, so it's tough."

The couple has been dating since 2007 and often make red carpet appearances together.

"They were the cutest couple," another source said. "They loved each other so much but they hardly saw each other. He starts his football training camp this week and she starts filming Keeping up with the Kardashians this week. They just need a break right now."

Kardashian�s Miami Boutique - She Poses in Bikini Nearby

The Kardashian�s new boutique �Dash� in Miami was vandalized yesterday while Kim K. flashed her fake cakes and pounds of makeup on the beach for some random photo shoot.

Someone tagged up the entrance to the store. Peep Kourtney�s blog about the incident and a pic of the damage as well as more bikini shots of Kim K. on the beach in Miami.

There are rumors flying around on the Internet this morning saying that our new Dash store in Miami may have been vandalized and broken into today. Lily, our store employee, who is with us in Miami for the opening, arrived this morning and discovered that the store window had been vandalized with graffiti. All of the graffiti on the wall was gang-related and there were carvings in the glass. All in all, the damage is pretty bad, but they�re painting over it now! Luckily nothing was taken from the store, but as a precaution we called and filed a police report and the police came to the store. Of course the paparazzi were all over this, and assumed our new Dash store had been the intentional target.
We want to make it clear that no one was targeting the store or Kim, Khloe and myself, specifically. The location of the store has remained a secret since we started filming, so there�s no way whoever graffiti�d the store front knew it was Dash. They were just defacing buildings in the area.

So that�s what happened! We are all really sad that our brand new Miami Dash store that we�ve been working so hard on got graffiti�d, but Kim, Khloe and I are all fine and we wont let a little thing like this ruin our launch party tomorrow! And what�s life without a little drama, anyway, right!?
