'Heartbroken' X Factor grandmother taken to court after attacking her husband's new lover

A grandmother who starred in last weekend's X Factor has admitted attacking her husband's new lover outside her home.

Hazel Jackson, 70, pleaded guilty in court to assaulting 48-year-old Susan Taafe and damaging her property.

Speaking after appearing in Trafford Magistrates Court, Mrs Jackson, of Timperley, Greater Manchester, said she was 'ashamed' of her actions.

'Heartbroken': Hazel Jackson pleaded guilty in court to assaulting 48-year-old Susan Taafe and damaging her property

But Mrs Jackson said she was left heartbroken after her husband of 34 years, Ken Jackson, left her for Mrs Taafe, who is 12 years younger than him.

The fight was sparked after Mrs Jackson went to Mrs Taafe's house in Trafford, Greater Manchester, where the couple were living together, on August 24.

She tried to force her way into the house, but Mrs Taafe resisted and the dispute spilled into the front garden, with Mr Jackson, 60, attempting to separate the pair.

Mrs Taafe suffered scratches to her face and arms and claimed that numerous plants and flowers ended up damaged and spread around her garden.

Mrs Jackson was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay 20 compensation in court last week.

Following her sentencing, Mrs Jackson said her entire intention of auditioning on The X Factor, where she performed Tina Turner's Simply The Best, was to win her husband back.

She said: 'He never looked at another woman before this. We were the perfect couple - anybody would tell you that. Everything I did on X Factor was for my love of Ken.'

Mr Jackson and Mrs Taafe declined to comment.

The grandmother-of-three impressed judges with her energetic performance on the show last weekend, but they decided her voice wasn't strong enough to put her through to the boot camp stage of the programme.

Charlie Sheen pleads guilty to assault

Actor Charlie Sheen pleaded guilty yesterday to assaulting his wife last Christmas and was sentenced to 30 days in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation in California.

Under a plea deal reached with prosecutors in Aspen, Sheen also agreed to three months probation in which he cannot consume any drugs, other than prescription medication, and cannot drink an excessive amount of alcohol. He also was ordered to attend 36 hours of anger management classes.

Pitkin County District Judge James C. Boyd sentenced Sheen to a 30-day jail term, but suspended it provided Sheen successfully completes his probation and the drug and alcohol rehab program in California.

Sheen, 44, was quiet through much of the court proceeding. When asked how he pleaded, Sheen said guilty as charged, your honour.

In a statement issued following the court proceeding, Sheen said he was very grateful to the court.

I look forward to complying with the courts decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me, he said.

The star of the CBS networks sitcom Two And a Half Men is to serve his 30-day stint in rehab time at a Promises treatment centre in California, one of which is located in the seaside enclave of Malibu. The deal allows Sheen to continue his work on Two and Half Men.

Sheen was arrested on Christmas Day after Brooke Mueller, his third wife, told police he had pulled a knife on her and threatened to have her killed.

The actor was charged with felony menacing, misdemeanour third degree assault and misdemeanour criminal mischief.

In exchange for his guilty plea on the misdemeanour third degree assault, prosecutors dropped the charges of menacing and of criminal mischief.

Sheen had faced up to three years behind bars if he had been convicted on all charges.

The actors legal troubles have had little effect on his popularity. Audiences for Two and a Half Men have remained high and this year Sheen negotiated a deal with CBS that took his pay to a reported US$1.8 million (RM5.7 million) per episode.

A Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman says detectives investigating Mel Gibson have received audio recordings from a court hearing the actor's child custody matter.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says detectives received the recordings Thursday morning after a court hearing. Several sheriff's detectives were spotted outside a closed hearing where Gibson's criminal attorney and attorneys for his ex-girlfriend appeared.

All of the attorneys declined comment. The sheriff's department is investigating whether the Academy Award-winner abused his ex-girlfriend, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva, in January.

Whitmore says the detectives received CDs, but did not know how many recordings were on them. He says detectives will now work to authenticate the recordings for a possible criminal case.

Ready? Tape No. 5 of Mel Gibson yelling at ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has just been posted."Mel, I cannot be with somebody like this. You don't love me... This is someone who hates me. Why do you hate me so much?" asks Grigorieva at one point as Mel pants and rants.

And, she says, "You're very mean.""I'd like to show you what mean really is," yells Mel.

Money issues arise again, with Mel saying he needs cash so badly that he has resorted to selling some of his artwork collection. He also says he had to give up his Los Angeles Lakers tickets. "I don't have any (expletive) money! I have to support you and everybody else! I have to sell paintings. I have to sell my box at the Lakers game," Gibson screams.

Oksana's lawyers will be in court this morning asking a family law judge to strip Mel of custody of their daughter, using the tapes as evidence Mel is dangerous, reports TMZ. The authenticity of the tapes is likely to be raised.

On the Today show this morning, an audio expert who has worked for the FBI and CIA verified that the tapes are legit.

Mel Gibson's camp has not commented.

Jenna Jameson wants you to see her bruises , cause by abusive hubby Tito

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Pulling a page from the Tila Tequila playbook, Jenna Jameson conveniently allowed a group of photographers to snap pics of her at the park yesterday while wearing a T-shirt that revealed what appears to be bruises on her arms. Considering I have absolutely no medical training whatsoever,

I can't tell if they're real or not, but based on the fact both Tito and Jenna were in a hurry to shut the other one up, I'm going to assume the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Namely Tito catching Jenna popping Oxy like candy and then both of them using their infant twins as swords until her dad called the cops. Stop me if I'm getting close.

Rourke had doubts over Iron Man

 Photobucket
Mickey Rourke had to be talked into signing up for Iron Man 2.
The Wrestler stars plays villainous loner Whiplash in the movie, but director Jon Favreau revealed the role wasn't an easy sell - for Mickey or for Marvel Studios.

Jon said he and Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr worked hard to persuade both, explaining: "There was a lot of resistance to (Rourke). The studio was not inclined to hire him. It took a bit of a struggle and Robert was very helpful in that. And Robert was the guy who there was resistance in hiring last time around."
Mickey's agent insisted doing Iron Man 2 would be a good move, but the actor still needed convincing.
"I didn't want to play a one-dimensional villain," said the 53-year-old.

"I said I'd like him to have a sense of humour. I'd like him to have a particular look. I'd like to do it with the accent. I could see Favreau shaking his head, and I knew I was taking the chance that he could just say goodbye, thank you for coming in. But he embraced the ideas."
:: Iron Man 2 is in cinemas now.

Is A 'Nightmare on Elm Street' Sequel Coming? New Freddy Says Maybe

Photobucket

The 2010 reboot of "Nightmare on Elm Street" hit theaters over the weekend, so now, where does the franchise go from here? Will there be another Freddy movie?

In an interview with MTV, actor Jackie Earle Haley -- who plays Freddy Krueger in the revamped version -- revealed that he was signed on for a "few movies."

"I think we need to see how the movie turns out, how that goes and how that does [before pursuing a sequel]," Haley said.

Well, the film debuted in first place over the weekend, taking in $32.2 million to open. Obviously, fans aren't ready to give up on the iconic horror character, even if the original actor, Robert Englund, has hung up the claws.

There's still no official word from either Warner Bros or New Line, but we're hopeful ... because we want the "Elm Street" franchise to continue.
If they do, other actors said they'd return. MTV asked actress Rooney Mara about her role as Nancy. She said she'd love to play the character again.

However, Kyle Gallner, who plays Nancy's boyfriend Quentin, wasn't 100% on anything just yet.

What did you think of the new "Nightmare on Elm Street?" Does it have a future?

Johnny Depp try to revive rocker career while fighting off real life mugger.

Photobucket

Pirates of the Caribbean star has turned to fighting miscreants in real life streets as well. When leaving the recording studio there was a surprise for Stephen Jones and Johnny Depp. A Mugger with a broken bottle attacked! Read more about this incident below, including more photos and a video.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

The actor has apparently been trying to pursue his rocker career with Stephen, and this event may have brought them closer. According to one report, the Babybird singer was approached by the man and real life hero actor stepped in the way and made him go away!

A source told the Sun about the event involving Jones, Depp, &; mugger:

It was an extremely scary moment. This guy looked off his head. Johnny looked him straight in the eyes and told him to back off. The guy was OK. He looked at Johnny and said, I aint stealing from Captain Jack and put the bottle down. Johnny gave him a few bucks and told him to straighten up his life.

We shouldnt really be shocked by his bravery though. Other than keeping busy with films, the Captain Jack actor has been exploring new avenues and trying to get in touch with his inner hero. He recently appeared on 48 Hours Mystery in support of releasing West Memphis Three. He summed up that situation saying, It was a need for swift justice to placate the community.

And the man he ended up saving is someone the actor has been working with to get him into the world of music. The musical hopeful did a guitar feature in Babybirds song Unloveable. He reportedly also directed the music video for that. They may also do some shows in the UK together, but well see.

Well it seems that for Jones, it is a good thing he decided to become at least acquaintances with Johnny Depp. Muggers better beware of him, as he confidently handled the situation! Tell me what you think of the actors actions, and see the pictures and video the bands song.

Redheads are rounded up by police and forced to run across minefields

A controversial music video which features redheads being blown up as they run across a minefield has been banned by YouTube.

The promo for singer M.I.A.'s single Born Free shows ginger-haired people being rounded up by police and taken into the desert.

Then at gunpoint they are forced to cross the field covered in explosives.
The controversial video, directed by Romain Gavras - son of political film-maker Costa Gavras - also features scenes of nudity and a child being shot in the head.

Photobucket
Outraged: M.I.A. is unhappy her video is being censored and has redirected fans to her own website to watch it

A spokesman for the video website said: 'On YouTube the rules prohibit pornography or gratuitous violence. If the content breaks our terms then we remove it.

'And if a user repeatedly breaks the rules we disable their account.'

The footage is said to depict how minorities are treated by authoritative bodies.

And despite widespread criticism, the child shot at close range in the video - 12-year-old Ian Hamrick - has defended M.I.A, real name Maya Arulpragasam.
Speaking to TMZ.com, he said: 'The video is definitely not for kids - I haven't even seen the full video myself - but, for all the adults and people in different countries who are doing that (killing people) in real life... doing the genocides to whatever - Italians, Africans, wherever it's from, it's still genocide.'

'So it's (the video) showing violence to end violence.'

M.I.A. was outraged at the censorship of her video and has redirected fans to her own website where it is still posted.

Kim Kardashian Abused .Popular reality TV star was an allegedly battered wife in her marriage Damon Thomas.

Before becoming popular through a hit reality series in 2008, it was revealed through leaked court documents that she was allegedly beaten and traumatized emotionally and physically by her ex-husband during their three year marriage. Damon Thomas was a popular music producer who had worked with stars like Pink and Lionel Richie, but as a husband he was apparently domineering and cruel.

Kim Kardashian, abused from 2000 to 2003, said that her ex started only months after the couple were married. He was 29 at the time and she was only 19. Citing one particular example, she described a time when she was about to meet up with Justin Timberlake and go skydiving. She said,

Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open. I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard. I was limping when we went skydiving.

PhotobucketPhotobucket

She also describes how he wanted to control where she was at all times.

If Damon were not home, I was required to call him and ask permission to leave the house. He said that he wanted to know where I was at all times. Sometimes, Damon would not allow me to leave. For example, he would not allow me to go to the mall or along with friends. He told me that he did not want an opportunity to hit on me.

I have no idea why people stay in abusive relationships. Maybe its the fact that she was young, but the good news is that Thomas filed for divorce in 2003 and was ordered to pay a restitution of $56,000 to his ex-wife!

Its apparent that whatever acts of restitution against Thomas were already taken in 2003, as the evidence is in the court papers.
Also, check out the photos and video below!

'He punched me in the face and told me I needed liposuction': Kim Kardashian's marriage hell revealed for first time

PhotobucketPhotobucket
Violent marriage: In newly uncovered court documents Kim Kardashian, pictured left in Sydney on Tuesday, claimed her former husband Damon Thomas was abusive towards her

Photobucket
Controlling force: The reality TV star claimed Thomas tried to convince her that sisters Khloe and Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner (right) were 'evil'
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian suffered domestic violence at the hands of her ex-husband Damon Thomas, according to allegations in newly uncovered court papers.

The socialite, who currently is back in the U.S. after a promotional visit to Sydney, Australia, claimed the music producer repeatedly beat her and demanded to know where she was at every minute of the day.

Kim, now 29, eloped to Las Vegas, Nevada, and married Thomas in January 2000 - when she was just 19-years-old. They split three years later.
According to the documents, Thomas would punch her in the face, slam her against walls and throw her across the room, leaving her bruised and battered.

His alleged bullying was so terrible he gave her $3,650 to get liposuction because he wanted her to be 'perfect' - then gave her an additional $1,000 for further surgery.

 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Thomas, who has worked with artists such as Lionel Richie and Pink, even forced Kim to quit jobs and college, poisoned her mind against her own family and would not let her see her friends, the court papers claim.

'Damon decided what we would do and when we would do it. He was very much the "King of the castle",' she said.

At the time of their quickie Las Vegas wedding she was working as a sales girl at a Los Angeles shop called Body, but her new husband soon made her quit the job.
'He said he did not want me to have contact with my old boyfriends who would be able to reach me at the clothing store,' she said.

'He said he wanted to know where I was at all times.'

Thomas's controlling personality is laid bare by Kim in the couple's divorce papers, which were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court back in 2003.
According to Kim, her music producer husband wanted her at his beck and call - and even demanded that she cook him food when he arrived home at 4.30am.

She claims he would not let her spend time with her family and friends, start arguments at family gatherings and tried to convince her that her mother and sister were 'evil'.

He allegedly showed naked pictures of one of Kim's sisters to her father, branding the siblings 'whores', and constantly wanted to know where Kim was.
'Damon told me not to leave the house unless I first told him when and where I was going. Sometimes, Damon would not allow me to leave,' she said in her August 2003 court declaration.

'For example, he would not allow me to go to the mall alone, or with friends. He told me that he did not want men to have an opportunity to "hit" on me.

'He would not allow me to go out to dinner with friends I have known since I was a child. If Damon were not home, I was required to call him and ask permission to leave the house.'

But, according to the explosive court papers, Thomas's abuse did not end there - and he started hitting her just a few months after they were married.

While Kim stood at just 5'3" and weighed 107lbs, her husband towered over her at 5'10" and 175lbs.

One incident of physical abuse that Kim recalled took place when she and Thomas were going skydiving with pop star Justin Timberlake.
Thomas, now 39, apparently hit his wife in the face, cutting her lip open and causing her to fall to the floor.

'I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard. I was limping when we went skydiving,' she said.

Another alleged incident took place at Kim's mother's house when Thomas became suspicious about who she was paging.

'He became enraged and punched me in the face. My face was bruised and swollen as a result,' she said.

'I thought about calling the police but was afraid and decided not to do so.

'On another occasion we were at the marital residence and had an argument. He grabbed my arm and slammed me against the sliding mirror of the closet in our bedroom.'
Kim claims the abuse continued even after they separated in April 2003.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star revealed how her estranged husband flew into a rage while she was retrieving some personal items from the bathroom of the home they once shared.

'He came at me and slammed me against the closet wall,' she said.

'He held me up against the wall with his hands around my neck and threatened to choke me. He then took one hand and punched the wall right next to my head.

'He then grabbed me by my hair and told me to get out. He put one hand against my back and pushed me up the stairs (the front door is on the ground level and the bedroom is one level below ground).

'At the top of the stairs, he threw me across the room and I hit my head against the front door. I got up and ran out of the house. I was frightened.'

It was Thomas, who went on to produce the Dreamgirls soundtrack in 2006, who filed for divorce from Kim in 2003.

Their marriage was officially dissolved in February 2004 and Thomas was ordered to give Kim a one-off payment of $56,000.

Kim has since dated R&B star Ray J and American football player Reggie Bush.

She has recently been spotted on cosy dates with Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Centurion is a curious mixture of Gladiator, Braveheart and Apocalypto, but not nearly as good as any of them

Photobucket
Shouty: Quintus Dias (Michael Fassbender) and Brick (Liam Cunningham) in the gory British film Centurion

Verdict: Gory sword and sandals saga

Rating: Rating: 1 out of 5

Centurion is the latest gorefest from Neil Marshall, but nowhere near as gripping or entertaining as his Dog Soldiers or The Descent.

The talented Michael Fassbender is wasted as a shouty centurion whose job is to lead his few surviving legionaries out of Pictish territory after - in the film's one impressive action sequence - virtually the entire Ninth Legion has been massacred.

Centurion is a curious mixture of Gladiator, Braveheart and Apocalypto, but not nearly as good as any of them. The problem lies with the script, which is ponderous, laughably pompous, tiresomely macho and essentially one long chase.

Though numerous helicopter shots show off the grandeur of the Scottish landscape, the film is mainly an excuse for as many decapitations, mutilations and impalings as possible.

While these may be enough for fanboys who demand only action and violence, it won't satisfy those of us who hope for story, characterisation and emotional involvement in our entertainment.

A talented cast - including Dominic West, Liam Cunningham, J.J. Feild and David Morrissey - have little to do except pose in a manly fashion, run and die. It isn't nearly enough.
