Fans might be wondering when Miley Cyrus morphed into Britney Spears.
Appearing on " Britain's Got Talent," a tousled-haired Cyrus seemed to stop short of actually kissing a female dancer during the performance although it sure gave the appearance of a smooch as she sang her new "Can't Be Tamed." Contributing to the impression of choreographed passion: The quick succession of "kisses" came on the beat of the music and no one missed a step.

Spears and Madonna made headlines after a passionate kiss during a performance at the Video Music Awards in 2003.

But the trend for celebrities' same-sex smooching in public may have jumped the shark. TMZ.com reports that when the "Kiss Cam" swept the Staples Center during Thursday night's Lakers-Celtics game in Los Angeles, Dustin Hoffman spotted his face on the JumboTron and instead of turning to his wife for the obligatory buss, the 72-year-old actor opted for seatmate Jason Bateman, sharing a full-contact smooch with him.
